Solutions for Dyslexia

All Aboard Deep Dive: “Dyslexia and the Road to Reading”
This 4-session course is a deep dive into the causes of reading difficulty.

This is not a course on how to deliver phonics. Instead, in each session it covers:

  1. Ways that reading development can potentially go wrong
  2. How to spot the patterns of each problem
  3. The intervention techniques you can use to fix each issue

The course is a highly practical “how to” course, based on a new understand of the “why” for each child who has been struggling. It is based around a series of case studies each week.

The cost is £75 for a school multi-view license for one year:

All Aboard Training Testimonials

"Thank you to all three of you for coming all that way with so many fantastic resources. The training was superb and staff are really buzzing, including those that are often harder to convince. I can’t wait to get going!"
Pennine View School
As a collective, we thought that the AAP three week ‘implementation’ course was excellent. The course was hugely beneficial for all of us for different reasons. For those of the team who had little or no experience of teaching phonics, they received the ‘basic knowledge ‘required to understand how the teaching of phonics works. Those of us who have been using the AAP resources got lots of new practical ideas to use in the classroom and learned more about the science behind AAP. It also gave us the confidence to communicate with our new parents and the powerpoints for lessons will prove most useful next year. Even the most experienced teachers among us found the course extremely useful and interesting. We loved the interactive nature of the AAP CPD. We enjoyed being able to engage with other schools, answer questions and have our questions answered … the icing on the cake was actually winning a delicious prize, which by the way, was MOST appreciated and enjoyed by all of our team. Thank you for your support and follow-up communication. We now have the material to use when helping train new staff to use and deliver AAP. Thanks again Ladies! We give your CPD: FIVE STARS
Prenton Preperatory
"I found this very helpful, the techniques used in classrooms are excellent. Very easy to use and implement across the whole class and then to individuals separately to access learning and do interventions if needed. I particularly found the simple technique of focus on one finger very helpful if a child is struggling with reading text. I give the course 5 stars, it was very informative and easy to implement."
The Valley School
I really enjoyed the training video and being 20 minutes long is perfect! 5 STARS. We have been using the Phase 1 resources in school since the Prototype was initially shared and are really enjoying it. As a special school we have a large cohort of pre-phonics pupils in Key Stages 1/2/3 who need lots of support to develop Early language skills. This resource is proving to be really useful to structure some approaches to this. It is also giving teachers a clear idea who is ready for the next stage of phonics. We are also finding it really helpful for "filling the gaps" of some students who have learnt all of the sounds in isolation but are struggling to blend and/or segment. I look forward to sharing the training video with our staff teams. It will be a great reinforcer for the coaching/training we have already provided within school.
The Valley School
"The training is really good, I've been teaching phonics for years and I'm still learning something. I like that it was backed with research. Thank you!"
St Frideswide Primary School
"Myself and Katie Elliot have attended your phonics course for the past three weeks. We have found it really informative and inspiring. The presentation and content was excellent and after a full day of teaching and rushing for 3pm to get their on time we really enjoyed the sessions. The videos of the practical application shown in real schools was also a really useful part of the training to see the phonics in action."
Foreland Fields
"It has really helped me to analyse what exactly is going on when a child is struggling. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this. It has given me lots to take away and a focus for reviewing my practice."
Ash C of E Primary School
"I really enjoyed the course and am looking forward to starting to use some of the techniques discussed."
Mayesbrook Park School
"Fantastic course. Very informative and information conveyed was to the point and clear to understand. Gave fantastic insights in how to use all aboard in the classroom as well as during interventions."
Rocklands Primary School
"A fabulous training day for the whole school staff. Invaluable for colleagues who have had less experience teaching Phonics!"
